Order book turnover on Xetra and the Xetra Frankfurt specialist trading stood at €111.6 billion in November – a slight decrease by 1.7 percent year-on-year (November 2010: €113.6 billion). Of the €111.6 billion, €106.4 billion were attributable to Xetra (nearly unchanged y-o-y, November 2010: €106.0 billion). €5.2 billion were attributable to the Xetra Frankfurt specialist trading, a 32 percent decrease y-o-y (November 2010: €7.6 billion). Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange* totalled €2.8 billion in November.
In equities, turnover reached €91.2 billion on Deutsche Börse’s cash markets (Xetra: €89.2 billion, Xetra Frankfurt specialist trading: €2.0 billion). Turnover in bonds was €1.7 billion, and in structured products on Scoach €2.2 billion. Order book turnover in mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) amounted to €16.5 billion.
A total of 22.2 million transactions were executed on Xetra in November, an increase of 25 percent y-o-y (November 2010: 17.8 million).
The DAX security with the highest turnover in November was Siemens AG at €6.1 billion. Continental AG led the MDAX equities at €650.6 million, while IVG Immobilien AG topped the SDAX equity index with €70.1 million, and Aixtron SE headed TecDAX with €222.9 million. The ETF with the highest turnover on Xetra was iShares DAX with €2.8 billion.
