Deutsche Börse cash markets achieved a turnover of €171.6 billion in October (2017: €115.9 billion). This corresponds to a year-on-year increase of 48 percent.
Of the €171.6 billion, €156.7 billion were attributable to Xetra (October 2017: €102.9 billion). The average daily turnover on Xetra was thus €7.1 billion. Order book turnover on Börse Frankfurt totalled €3.7 billion (October 2017: €4.1 billion) and on Tradegate Exchange €11.1 billion (October 2017: €8.9 billion).
Split by asset classes, cash market turnover in equities reached about €153.2 billion. Turnover in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs amounted to €16.3 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.4 billion, in certificates €1.4 billion and in funds €0.2 billion.
The DAX security with the highest turnover on Xetra in October was Linde at €10.1 billion. Commerzbank led the MDAX equities with €1.3 billion, while Dialog Semiconductor topped the SDAX equity index with €437 million, and SAP SE headed TecDAX with €6.7 billion. The ETF with the highest turnover on Xetra was iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF with €2.5 billion.
