The new unit class of the UBS ETF - Barclays USD Emerging Markets Sovereign UCITS ETF combines an investment in emerging market bonds with a currency hedge. The bonds contained in the reference index are exclusively denominated in US dollars, and not in the local currencies. The USD-EUR exchange rate risk however is hedged for this unit class. The reference index currently comprises more than 100 government and quasi-government bonds from over 60 emerging markets, with a country cap of three percent.
The product offering in Deutsche Börse's XTF segment currently comprises a total of 1,139 exchange traded funds. This selection, together with an average monthly trading volume of around €15 billion, makes Xetra Europe’s leading trading venue for ETFs.
