Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €138.08 billion in September (previous year: €103.83 billion / previous month: €123.32 billion).
€133.95 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €100.95 billion / previous month: €119.98 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €6.09 billion (previous year: €4.81 billion / previous month: €5.71 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €4.13 billion (previous year: €2.88 billion / previous month: €3.34 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €108.25 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €27.68 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.95 billion, in certificates €1.15 billion and in funds €0.05 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in September was Rheinmetall AG with €9.34 billion. Renk Group AG led the MDAX with €1.30 billion, while Deutz AG led the SDAX index with €234.57 million. In the ETF segment the iShares Core EURO STOXX 50 UCITS ETF (DE) generated the largest volume with €1.14 billion.
