Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €152.20 billion in May (previous year: €114.19 billion / previous month: €188.40 billion).
€148.66 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €111.06 billion / previous month: €183.83 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €7.08 billion (previous year: €5.05 billion / previous month: €9.19 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €3.54 billion (previous year: €3.13 billion / previous month: €4.57 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €124.03 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €26,61 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.57 billion, in certificates €0.96 billion and in funds €0.04 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in May was Rheinmetall AG with €11.39 billion. RENK Group AG led the MDAX with €2.29 billion, while IONOS Group SE led the SDAX index with €188.33 million. In the ETF segment the iShares Core EURO STOXX 50 UCITS ETF (DE) generated the largest volume with €983,53 million.
