Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €121.13 billion in March (previous year: €140.21 billion / previous month: €108.42 billion).
€117.16 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €136.42 billion / previous month €104.41 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €5.86 billion (previous year: €5.93 billion / previous month: €4.97 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €3.97 billion (previous year: €3.79 billion / previous month: €4.01 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €102.11 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €16.90 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.87 billion, in certificates €1.19 billion and in funds €0.06 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in March was SAP SE with €6.60 billion. Deutsche Lufthansa AG led the MDAX with €921.81 million, while MorphoSys AG led the SDAX index with €129.32 million. In the ETF segment the iShares Core MSCI World UCITS ETF generated the largest volume with €533.71 million.
