Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €146.8 billion in June (previous year: €198.8 billion).
€119.8 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €166 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €5.4 billion (previous year: €7.9 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €3.8 billion (previous year: €5.2 billion) and on Tradegate Exchange €23.3 billion (previous year: €27.6 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €125.5 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €19.4 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.4 billion, in certificates €1.3 billion and in funds €0.2 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in June was Volkswagen AG with €4.7 billion. Zalando SE led the MDAX with €1.9 billion, while Auto1 Group SE led the SDAX index with €290 million. In the ETF segment, the iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF generated the largest volume with €623 million.
