Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €88.93 billion in July (previous year: €104.53 billion / previous month: €106.02 billion).
€86.17 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €102.24 billion / previous month €103.15 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €4.10 billion (previous year: €4.87 billion / previous month: €4.69 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €2.76 billion (previous year: €2.29 billion / previous month: €2.87 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €74.26 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €13.14 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.61 billion, in certificates €0.87 billion and in funds €0.04 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in July was SAP SE with €3.99 billion. Lufthansa AG led the MDAX with €712.15 million, while Aroundtown SA led the SDAX index with €175.54 million. In the ETF segment the iShares Core MSCI World Ucits ETF generated the largest volume with €505.90 million.
