Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €120.2 billion in July (previous year: €143 billion).
€102.2 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €115.7 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €4.9 billion (previous year: €5.3 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €2.3 billion (previous year: €3.8 billion) and on Tradegate Exchange €15.7 billion (previous year: €23.5 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €99.1 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €19.6 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.4 billion, in certificates €0.9 billion and in funds €0.1 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in July was Linde plc with €3.9 billion. Delivery Hero SE led the MDAX with €916 million, while Shop Apotheke Europe led the SDAX index with €152 million. In the ETF segment, the iShares Core EURO STOXX 50 UCITS ETF generated the largest volume with €772 million.
