Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €123,32 billion in August (previous year: €98,76 billion / previous month: €137.45 billion).
€119.98 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €95.59 billion / previous month: €133.30 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €5.71 billion (previous year: €4.35 billion / previous month: €5.80 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €3.34 billion (previous year: €3.17 billion / previous month: €4.16 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €97.57 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €24.22 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.59 billion, in certificates €0.90 billion and in funds €0.04 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in August was Rheinmetall AG with €9.01 billion. Hensoldt AG led the MDAX with €1.38 billion, while ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE led the SDAX index with €221.27 million. In the ETF segment the iShares Core EURO STOXX 50 UCITS ETF (DE) generated the largest volume with €902.82 million.
