Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €98.76 billion in August (previous year: €92.50 billion / previous month: €101.80 billion).
€95.59 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €89.56 billion / previous month: €98.60 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €4.35 billion (previous year: €3.89 billion / previous month: €4.29 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €3.17 billion (previous year: €2.94 billion / previous month: €3.21 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €76.26 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €20.85 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.70 billion, in certificates €0.90 billion and in funds €0.05 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in August was SAP SE with €5.23 billion. Puma SE led the MDAX with €512.25 million, while Renk Group AG led the SDAX index with €138.27 million. In the ETF segment the iShares Core EURO STOXX 50 UCITS ETF generated the largest volume with €1.04 billion.
