Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €92.50 billion in August (previous year: €99.23 billion / previous month: €88.93 billion).
€89.56 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €96.65 billion / previous month €86.17 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €3.89 billion (previous year: €4.20 billion / previous month: €4.10 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €2.94 billion (previous year: €2.58 billion / previous month: €2.76 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €77.20 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €13.56 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.65 billion, in certificates €1.06 billion and in funds €0.04 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in August was SAP SE with €4.97 billion. Lufthansa AG led the MDAX with €844.53 million, while Aroundtown SA led the SDAX index with €202.03 million. In the ETF segment the iShares Core EURO STOXX 50 UCITS ETF generated the largest volume with €615.93 million.
