Deutsche Boerse Group: No Changes To The Composition Of The DAX index - Changes in MDAX®, SDAX®, TecDAX® and NEMAX 50® Effective September 20

On Friday, the index provider Deutsche Börse decided on changes in its equity indices. Changes will be effective September 20. Based on the new rules for the blue chip index DAX® there won’t be any changes in this index however the composition of MDAX®, SDAX®, TecDAX® and NEMAX 50® will change. The next review of the equity indices is scheduled for December 3, 2004.

In MDAX, Deutsche Euroshop, Deutsche Postbank and Wincor Nixdorf will take the place of Koenig & Bauer, Wella and Zapf Creation.

In the small cap index SDAX, Masterflex, PGAM advanced technologies, Koenig & Bauer and Zapf Creation will be included. They will replace Deutsche Euroshop, Gericom, IM Internationalmedia and Viva Media in the index.

Bechtle, Funkwerk and Morphosys will be included in TecDAX, replacing FJH, SCM Microsystems and SAP SI.

In the NEMAX 50® index, Cenit replaces SAP SI. Deutsche Börse will stop calculating the NEMAX 50 index by the end of 2004 and will therefore not make changes in this index in the next review of its equity indices on December 3.
