Deutsche Börse: Xetra Dutch Stars Successfully Launched - Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank Third Dutch Market Expert

Deutsche Börse successfully launched trading in Dutch equities in the Xetra Dutch Stars segment on Monday. As already reported, the Xetra Dutch Stars segment comprises all seven Dutch equities in the Dow Jones Euro STOXX 50 index: ABN Amro Holding NV, AEGEON NV, Ahold NV, ING Groep NV, Philips Electronics NV, Royal Dutch Petroleum NV and Unilever NV.

Deutsche Börse had gained a third Dutch Market Expert on Xetra. In addition to the Dutch securities trading houses Van der Moolen and AOT Stock Specialist, Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank will continuously quote binding bid and ask prices for a minimum value of 50,000 euros per quote.

"The Dutch segment builds upon the success of our Xetra US Stars segment that has been in operation since the end of September. The Dutch segment is the second market that Deutsche Börse and Eurex are setting up within the framework of their Global Markets Concept. With Xetra Dutch Stars we will be offering the most interesting Dutch products at the lowest costs," said Volker Potthoff, member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse.

Eurex, the international derivatives market, has been offering equity options on all Xetra Dutch Stars since last year, and on KPN NV as the eighth Dutch equity option. Eleven Eurex Market Makers provide for underlying liquidity in the Dutch equity options.
