Deutsche Börse Updates Weightings In Equity Indexes - Companies Replaced In The Indexes

Effective June 19, Deutsche Börse is updating the weightings for the companies in the equity indexes. Deutsche Börse published the tentative figures for the weightings on Wednesday. The final data will be published on Friday after the close of trading on the Internet page of Deutsche Börse at www.exchange.de under News. Due to the longer trading hours, the prices from the Xetra closing auction at 8:00 p.m. (Frankfurt time) on Friday, June 16, will be used for the index adjustments.

In this connection, Deutsche Börse called attention once again to the changes in the composition of the indices that were decided on May 9, 2000 and will be implemented on Monday.

The shares of E.ON AG will be included in the DAX blue-chip index when trading opens on Monday, now that the European Commission has approved the planned merger of Veba AG and Viag AG into E.ON. Infineon will fill the slot left open in the DAX as a result. ,p> The shares of T-Online International will be included in the Nemax 50 on Monday, as well as the shares of Biodata and Carrier 1 International S.A. The companies are replacing mb Software AG, Micrologica AG and CPU Softwarehouse AG.

The SDAX composition will change as follows: Condomi AG, Börsenmakler Schnigge AG, Rational AG and Takkt AG will be included in the index. These companies will replace Bonifatius Hospital & Senioren Residen-zen AG, Brüder Mannesmann AG, Porta Systems AG as well as RSE Grundbesitz und Beteiligungs AG.
