Spot month begins on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 4:00 pm CT. All positions in delivery month futures must be at or below the relevant speculative position limit by this time, or must fall under one of the exemptions in Rule 12. Speculative position limits are 1000 contracts for Canola futures, and 250 contracts for Western Barley futures. Information on position aggregation requirements can also be found in Rule 12.
The last day for Clearing Participants to submit Position Offsets of existing concurrent long and short positions in the delivery month contract is Thursday, February 25, 2010 by 8:30 am CT. Non-clearing firms should ensure that any pertinent offset instruction for trading activity is provided to their Clearing Participant promptly. Consult Rule 8A.03 for more information.
The first day of FIFO position reporting by Clearing Participants is Friday, February 26, 2010 by 7:30 am CT.
First Notice Day for tendering futures contracts for delivery is Friday, February 26, 2010. Final Notice Day is Monday, March 15, 2010. All tenders must be submitted by 2:00 pm CT.
