DCE Reports October 2007 Statistics

According to the latest statistics from China Futures Association, the performance of the national futures market in general was stable. For China's futures market as a whole, in October, the total volume and turnover increased 119.15% and 138.67% respectively from a year ago to 76.3 million contracts, worth 3.7 trillion yuan, and was 10.65% and 2.84% upper than September 2007 respectively. The newly listed RBD palm oil futures appeared brisk this month and achieved a trading volume of 34236 contracts, worth 2.94 billion yuan. The total trading volume and turnover from January to October were 532.03 million contracts?worth 29.8 trillion yuan, up 53.50% and 76.09% respectively from the pervious year.
