Prosperi joined CME after working for 13 years at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), most recently as Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications. Before joining the CBOT, Prosperi had a distinguished career in public service and government relations. He served as Assistant Secretary of Transportation for Public Affairs from 1989-90, and as Campaign Press Secretary for then Senator Dan Quayle during the 1988 presidential election. Afterwards, Prosperi served as a spokesman for the Office of the President-elect. He also held senior communications positions at the U.S. Department of the Interior from 1985-88 and the U.S. Department of Energy in 1985. Prosperi worked as Manager, Government Affairs, for the Superior Oil Company in Washington, D.C. from 1982-85, and as Assistant White House Press Secretary to President Ronald Reagan from 1981-82.
Prosperi earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois in 1975 and a master's degree in business administration from The George Washington University in 1983.
