2020 is a crucial year for eradicating poverty and conclusive year for the goal of building a moderately well-off society in an all-round way. To help win the tough war against poverty, Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) established a special poverty alleviation program under its 2020 Peasants Income Guarantee Plan to organize futures companies to provide targeted assistance for poverty-stricken areas in the form of "insurance + futures". It is learned that in order to target at China's poorer counties accurately and better carry out projects in the poorer counties, DCE will organize a series of special poverty alleviation program training sessions.
Co-sponsored by DCE, the Poverty Alleviation and Development Office of Guizhou Province and Guizhou Provincial Financial Supervision Bureau, the serial training was held via a cloud conference on April 17 in Guizhou, the first stop. During the conference, relevant heads of DCE and a number of futures companies as well as the insurance companies conducted the training for relevant personnel carrying out the DCE Peasants Income Guarantee Plan in Guizhou, analyzed cases of previous years and this year’s plan and helped participants to further understand the "insurance + futures" model, hoping to fully leverage the functions of insurance and futures to help peasants mitigate the risk of fluctuations in the agricultural products market, ensure peasants' income, eradicate poverty, further promote the stable development of agricultural production and put a full stop to poverty alleviation in Guizhou Province.
