The “Forum on Reviewing Selection of Top 10 Futures Investment & Research Teams in Past 10 Years” is held in Dalian on December 22. The forum, organized by Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), aims to summarize the past 10 years’ experience of selecting the “Top 10 Futures Investment and Research Teams” (the “Top 10 Teams” for short) and look into the future, staying true to the original intention of talent cultivation and upholding the idea of creating value by R&D (research & development). More than 100 persons from DCE, futures companies and investment institutions, teams participating in the past and the current selection activities attend the forum.
At the forum, DEC CEO Wang Fenghai says that talents are the motive power for the development of the futures market. The growth and development of a professional futures talent team has a direct bearing on the effect and progress of the futures market serving the real economy and realizing innovative development. The selection of Top 10 Teams is an important measure of DCE to select and cultivate futures talents and enhance the service and competitiveness of the industry, and it has been well received among futures companies and attracted the attention of the industry and relevant parties, as well as the market on the whole.
2018 is the 10th year that DCE organizes the Top 10 Teams selection activity. This year’s selection attracts the participation of 284 teams from some 100 futures companies, including 197 teams in the General Group and 87 teams in the Option Group. After fierce competition, Tianfeng Futures and Nanhua Futures win the first in the General Group and the Option Group, respectively.
Reviewing the past 10 years of talents cultivation in the futures market, Galaxy Futures General Manager Yang Qing says that DCE’s Top 10 Teams selection activity has achieved fruitful results in cultivating futures talents, made great progress for the talents team of the futures industry and delivered large numbers of research talents to the market.
Wu Zhuanpu, Chairman of Dalian Putian Investment Corporation, is a senior judge of the Top 10 Teams’ selection activity. He believes that this selection is a featured activity that can indirectly display the functions of the futures market, and many judges have made comments on and raised questions to the participating teams from different perspectives. Many questions, involving the details in trading and delivery, have helped the teams to find their shortcomings and pay more attention to the details and industry in their future research. By combining the futures and spot markets, it has promoted the functioning of the futures market and the talent cultivation of the futures companies.
After the forum, DCE presents the “10-Year Achievement Award” to 20 futures companies, including Yong’an Futures, Shanghai Zhongqi Futures, Huishang Futures, Xinhu Futures, Shanghai Orient Futures, GF Futures, China International Futures, Guohai Liangshi Futures, Guotai Jun’an and Dalian Liangyun.
