The agreement was signed by the Chairmen of the two stock exchanges, Messrs. S. Kapralos and A. Cleanthous on Friday, 16/9/2005. The ceremony, which was held at the CSE offices, was attended by the Greek Ambassador in Cyprus, Demetrios Rallis and representatives of the stock market. The signing of the agreement signals the cooperation of the two stock exchanges and accelerates the procedures for its completion.
The presentation of the model operation of the common platform and the subsequent services to the CSE members and organizations was carried out on 15/9/05. The CSE has also organized events in order to inform the representatives of the Securities and Exchange Commission and specialized presentations to Central Bank officers, data vendors etc.
It is also worth noting that the Chairmen of the two stock exchanges proceeded to the relevant briefing during the round table discussion, which had been organized after the signing of the agreement between the CSE and the ASE on 16/9/2005.
