Market Capitalization
The total market capitalisation (shares) reached £2.181 billion from £2.159 billion the previous month registering an increase of 0,99%. According to this month results the Banking sector accounted for 51,29% of the total market capitalisation, the Other Companies sector with 12,34%, the Manufacturing sector with 8,38%, the Hotels sector with 5,93%, the Building and Materials and Construction sector with 7,61%, the Financial Services sector with 2,31%, the Trading sector with 8,37%, the Tourism sector with 1,51%. The Insurance sector with 1,02%, the Information Technology sector with 0,93%, and the Fish Culture sector with 0,33% respectively, of the total market capitalisation. Moreover the total market capitalisation including the Approved Investment Funds, the Warrants the Corporate and Government bonds reached £4.633,00 billion compared to £4.637,00 billion the previous month registering a increase of 0,08%.

The total value of transactions during the month in review reached £6,49 million with an average of £295,14 thousands per trading session. The Banks Sector contributed 38,32% of the total value traded, which was the highest, whereas the Fish Culture Companies sector had the lowest contribution with 0,03%. Investors primarily focused their interest on the shares of «Bank of Cyprus Public Company Ltd» and «Cyprus Popular Bank Ltd» with 24,70% and 10,73% respectively.
