Corporacion UBC Internacional To List On Latibex - Santander Central Hispano Bolsa Will Act As The Specialist Intermediary For The Company

Corporación UBC Internacional, the holding company which owns Bancos Cuscatlán and other financial firms in El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panamá and the United States of America, has formally applied to list its ordinary A-shares on the Latibex market, Latibex announced today. The company's stock will begin trading as of tomorrow November 18th, once it has met all listing requirements.

After Corporación UBC Internacional's listing, the company will become the first Central American company to be listed on Latibex, which will then be made up of 30 stocks. Corporación UBC Internacional is the leading financial firm in Latin America among whose shareholders is International Finance Corporation (IFC).

For Corporación UBC Internacional, also known as Unión de Bancos Cuscatlán, regional business growth in Central América and Panamá is considered to be the basis of its corporate strategy, which also profits from the quality of Cuscatlán franchise and takeover opportunities in the region.

The company's A-shares carry voting rights and will be traded under the code XUBC. Santander Central Hispano will act as the specialist intermediary and link entity for the company. Corporación UBC Internacional has been traded in dollars on the Bolsa Nacional de Valores de Costa Rica since July 2002. The company reports to this exchange according to the International Accounting Standards (IAS).

On November 20th Corporación UBC Internacional's board of directors, presided over by Mauricio Samayoa, will be presenting the company to analysts, investors and the media at the 5th Latibex Forum.
