Cordium, a leading global provider of compliance consulting, tax, accounting and software to the financial services industry, has been named as one of 1000 companies to Inspire Britain in a report released by the London Stock Exchange.
1000 Companies to Inspire Britain is the second annual celebration of some of the most successful and dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK. The selection criteria require companies to have shown not just growing revenue in at least three out of the last four years, but also to have outperformed their sector peers.
Stephen Burke, Managing Director EMEA at Cordium, said: “We are proud to be named in such good company in this list. Our growth is a testament both to our commitment to innovation and also our focus on exceptional client service. We will continue to invest in new services and solutions to help financial institutions meet their compliance requirements. In doing so we hope to emulate the success of some of the companies listed in last year’s report – many of whom have continued to excel in their fields.”
Xavier Rolet, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group is quoted in the report’s foreword: “Successful small companies, properly supported, can grow both employment and revenue at exceptional organic rates. The 1000 companies highlighted in our report have, on average, more than doubled their revenue in the last four years, and the top 500 have more than tripled theirs.” He continues: “Because high-growth companies’ success tends to be based on innovation rather than the strict cost control typical of large caps, the jobs they create are usually more highly skilled and more highly paid.”
This accolade tops off an award-winning year for Cordium. Just last week it was awarded best legal compliance firm and best compliance firm at the Alt Credit Intelligence, European Services Awards and CTA Intelligence European CTA Services Awards respectively. It took key titles at each of HFM Week’s regional award ceremonies for Europe, Asia and the US. It was named Leading Regulatory Compliance Consulting Firm at The Hedge Fund Journal Awards and also took Best Compliance Product at the HFM Technology Awards. Earlier in the year, its training courses were endorsed by The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and the company was listed in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 fastest growing companies in the UK.
The report was supported by Lloyds Bank, Business Growth Fund and Cenkos, as well as media partner, The Daily Telegraph. The full report can be downloaded here.
