For the fifth consecutive year, the trading volume on the equity market rose and the rise was the sharpest in years. In 2000, the total value of shares traded was DKK 835.6 billion in market value, up 78 per cent on 1999.

The KFX Index reached 37 all-time highs and from end-1999 to end-2000 the index gained 23 per cent.
