about the new Company Accounts Act, which was adopted by the Danish Parliament in May 2001. The new Company Accounts Act brings Danish accounting in line with the international development, especially the provisions on recognition and measurement (valuation) are close to International Accounting Standard (IAS), and the new act enables the companies to use IAS.
