Copenhagen Stock Exchange: The Exchange To Launch New Derivatives Courses In Co-Operation With Financial Training Partner

Date 23/06/2003

The Copenhagen Stock Exchange has seen heavy demand for training courses in futures and options trading as a result of the increasing interest in trading in share derivatives.

To meet this demand and further support the development of the Danish derivatives market, the Exchange has designed new courses in co-operation with Financial Training Partner A/S. The courses are aimed at employees in the financial sector, who work in this field, as well as private investors, who wish in-depth knowledge about financial derivative products.

CFO Jan Ovesen said: "Through our co-operation with Financial Training Partner we are able to satisfy the professional and private investors' growing demand for more information on share derivatives. We have already held introductory seminars on share derivatives, and the private investors' interest in more information is so great that we are now going to offer more advanced derivatives seminars."

Managing Director Ulrik Strandgaard said: "For many years, Financial Training Partner has held financial courses for employees in the financial sector, and we are excited to team up with the Exchange on the development of derivatives courses, which also involve courses for private investors."

The first derivatives course for employees in the financial sector is scheduled for 20-21 October 2003, and the first advanced derivatives course for private investors is scheduled for 25 November 2003.
