Copenhagen Stock Exchange: The Exchange Provides Investors With Real Time Information Free Of Charge On www.xcse.dk Until Christmas

Date 10/12/2001

Until Christmas the Exchange will make real time information for shares and unit trust certificates available without charge on the Exchange's website www.xcse.dk.

Due to technical reasons, the price information will be a few seconds delayed compared with the information in the Exchange's trading system. In order to have access to the information, investors must register as personal users with user ID and password. The registration is free and only takes a few minutes.

The initiative has been launched to promote the sale at the Exchange's members and distributors (vendors) of the Exchange's real time products to private investors. The Exchange does not sell real time information directly to investors.

The monthly fee for real time information to private investors is DKK 50 (royalty to the Exchange) plus any additional charges from the member or the vendor. The product covers all four markets: The equity market, the market for unit trusts, the bond market and the derivatives market. Real time information including order depth for one security only costs 20 øre (in royalty).

Senior vice president Peter Belling says: "We are seeing evident signs that the equity market is recovering. November saw the highest turnover in five months and the bond market the highest in two years. The visits to the Exchange's website have also been increasing in the autumn, so there is a strong reason to believe that also the private investors are returning to the stock market.

To support this development further and also to draw attention to the fact that our members and distributors provide real time information products to private investors, up until Christmas we will offer real time information on our website www.xcse.dk without charge. The real time information is accessible by registering as personal user.

The Exchange's investor service via the website has lately been further expanded. We now provide daily and weekly newsletters via emails free of charge dealing with the development on the stock market and the listed companies, and we now offer the investors the possibility of comparing the companies based on selected accounting figures and key ratios.

With our many internet-based initiatives we are seeking to strengthen the investment culture and to work towards our vision of becoming the digital meeting point between issuers and investors".
