When the market closed yesterday, the listed companies' market value totalled DKK 720 billion, which means that the Danish investors have grown DKK 156 billion richer in 2003.
The large international share indices also progressed fairly. The steep price increases came after the years 2001 and 2002 when all share indices nose-dived. The steepest price increase among the exchanges in the NOREX Alliance was to be found on the Norwegian market, and among the indices that we compare ourselves with Nasdaq - the American technology exchange - progressed the most, namely by 50 per cent.
