Copenhagen Stock Exchange: New Rules For MidCap+ And SmallCap+

Date 24/05/2005

Following the consultation round ending on May 16, the Copenhagen Stock Exchange has evaluated the incoming proposals and made some adjustments to the rules regulating MidCap+ and SmallCap+.

The following amendments have been proposed:

  • The qualifying average daily turnover in the share is still adjusted on the basis of the performance of the KFMX Index. In the future, the turnover threshold is adjusted by one fourth of the development of the KFMX Index of the preceding period. If the KFMX Index increases/falls by 20 percent, the turnover threshold will increase/fall by 5 percent, however, rounded to the nearest DKK I 00,000 for MidCap+ and to the nearest DKK I 0,000 for SmallCap+. At the latest selection in December 2004, the requirement to the average daily turnover was DKK 1.2 million for the MidCap+ shares and DKK 120,000 for the SmallCap+ shares.
  • Specification of the requirements for audio or audio visual presentations to concern various events or situations.
  • Finally, there are a few stylistic alterations to the rules.

The new rules will come into force after the next review, which takes place at the beginning of June 2005.
