Therefore, the Exchange has looked into the possibilities of establishing a marketplace for small companies and has drawn up a proposal for a specific concept. The Copenhagen Stock Exchange now invites the public to comment on this proposal.
The purpose of establishing an alternative marketplace for small companies with a market value of up to DKK 400-500 million is:
- to grant small companies access to risk capital
- to facilitate a generational change in small companies
- to strengthen small companies by affiliating them to a brand under the auspices of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange
- to ensure investors orderly conditions for the buying and selling of shares in small companies
- to grant private investors access to investment in small companies which today are out of reach for most investors
- to generate a new business opportunity for market players on the capital market at the lowest possible cost by using the Exchange’s existing infrastructure.
In order for your comments to be taken into consideration, you must send them in writing to the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, attn. Senior Adviser Carsten Borring, or to the e-mail address cbo@cse.dk not later than Monday 24 January 2005.
