Managing Director Niels Jørgen Larsen, SEB Institutionel, said: “We have decided to have our High Yield Bonds fund admitted to the XtraMarked to allow our partners among the local banks to trade the certificates in the same way and through the same channels as they trade listed shares and investment certificates.”
Senior Vice President Peter Belling, Copenhagen Stock Exchange, said: “Since its opening in March 2002, the XtraMarked has had a steady influx of new funds, which, among other things, grant private investors easy and transparent access to Danish and foreign investment funds. The XtraMarked opened with 55 funds and with the new fund this number has risen to 71.” The High Yield Bonds fund primarily invests in corporate bonds and as at 31 June 2004 its assets totalled DKK 5.4 billion.
From a fiscal point of view investment certificates admitted to trading on the XtraMarked are considered non-exchange listed shares.
