Copenhagen Stock Exchange: Handsome Turnover Debut On The Exchange's Xtramarked Last Friday

The total turnover on the XtraMarked on the first trading day amounted to DKK 67.7 million in market value. This corresponds to an increase of more than 400 per cent compared with the turnover of DKK 16.1 million, which the unit trusts reported on average per day in the week prior to the opening of the XtraMarked.

55 unit trusts have been admitted for trading on the XtraMarked, which means that an amount of DKK 1.2 million were traded on average per fund. 211 trades were effected of an average value of just under DKK 321.000.

175 unit trusts are listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange the total turnover of which totalled DKK 133.0 million on 1 March, which corresponds to an average of DKK 760,000 per fund. In the listed unit trust funds a total of 1,275 trades were made at an average value of DKK 104,000.

Senior vice president Peter Belling says: "We have now seen that the XtraMarked provides transparency in the price formation in the funds that are traded on our new authorised marketplace, which can be compared with the one we find on the stock market. It is important that the investors have an overview of the activity in these funds throughout the day, so that they are given the best possible basis for their investments".
