Copenhagen Stock Exchange: Four 'SKAGEN Fondene' Admitted To The XtraMarked

Date 23/12/2003

On 5 January 2004, the Copenhagen Stock Exchange will be admitting four investment funds from Norwegian SKAGEN Fondene to the XtraMarked - the Exchange's authorised market place for non-stock market listed investment funds.

The investors may in future trade the four investment funds - SKAGEN Vekst, SKAGEN Global, SKAGEN Kon-Tiki and SKAGEN Avkastning - just as they may trade the other investment funds listed on the stock market and the XtraMarked.

Since the spring, investors and other interested parties have, however, been able to track the four investment funds via the Exchange's XtraList. The XtraList provides price information such as intrinsic value and number of units in circulation as regards the unlisted investment funds.

Senior Vice President Peter Belling, Copenhagen Stock Exchange, said: " The introduction of the four funds from SKAGEN Fondene means that the investors now have access to trade even more foreign investment funds at an open and regulated market place. The establishment of the XtraMarked last year has given turnover and liquidity a boost to the benefit of the investment funds and the investors. The average daily turnover per fund listed on the XtraMarked in the first 10 months of 2003 came to DKK 1.6 million, whereas the average daily turnover per fund listed on the stock market was DKK 0.4 million. Funds listed on the XtraMarked are typically fixed income funds, whereas the stock market typically has equity funds. The admission of the funds of SKAGEN Fondene on the XtraMarked once again manifests the importance of the XtraMarked as a marketplace for non-stock market listed investment funds."

The investors may in future track the four investment funds throughout the day on www.xtramarked.dk and trade them via all of the member firms of the Exchange's XtraMarked, including a line of Internet brokers and Internet banks.

Managing Director Harald Espedal, SKAGEN Fondene commented: "I am very happy that our investment funds will now be listed on the XtraMarked so that Danish investors will have easy and familiar access to trade the investment funds. SKAGEN Fondene is an established and independent supplier of global investment funds. We have managed investment funds for more than ten years and have always received high ratings by independent fund advisers based on return and risk. Our oldest investment fund, SKAGEN Vekst, has produced an average return of more than 17% per annum measured in Danish kroner since its introduction ten years ago. We hope that SKAGEN Fondene also in future will meet our overall goal of achieving the highest possible return at the lowest possible risk combined with excellent customer service. Danish fund investors will therefore also become satisfied customers of ours."
