Investors have shown keen interest in investment certificates, and especially investment funds focusing on growth regions distinguished themselves as the most actively traded investment certificates on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange in 2003. The sharp focus on these funds has contributed positively to the pricing and price transparency of the investment certificates. Also, the popularity of the investment certificates has narrowed the spread, which has reduced the transaction fees payable by the investors.
The value of trading in the investment certificates on the XtraMarked exceeded the listed investment funds. The list of the most actively traded investment certificates on the XtraMarked mostly includes funds focusing on traditional mortgage credit and government bonds.
In 2003, the XtraMarked consolidated its position as the marketplace for unlisted investment certificates and as an excellent supplement to the traditional channels offering trading in investment certificates.
