Copenhagen Stock Exchange: Delayed Implementation Of MSCI And S&P's New GICS Classification

Date 30/04/2003

The Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) will be revised by MSCI and Standard & Poor's as of 1 May 2003. The consistency changes for the classification of the Danish companies as a result of the review should have been made at the same time, which we announced in a press release on 28 February 2003.

The changes in the GICS classification have an influence on the present classification of some companies and possibly also the positioning in the Official List. Since unfortunately it has not been possible to obtain adequate information from MSCI, the Copenhagen Stock Exchange is compelled to postpone the implementation of the changed GICS codes until mid-May 2003.

The Exchange will as soon as possible via a press release announce the date of when the new GICS classification becomes effective for the Danish equity market.
