In this week, the users of www.xcse gained the possibility of subscribing to a news alert as an e-mail. The news alert tells you when a new stock exchange announcement has been submitted by a company included in the investor's 'personal portfolio' on www.xcse.dk. In this way, the user can all the time be kept abreast of any price-relevant information published by the listed companies.
This week's other initiative was a personal ticker. The ticker currently submits the last traded price on the securities the investor chooses from his 'personal portfolio' on www.xcse.dk, and the indices that he may wish to track currently.
Senior Vice President Peter Belling says, "Our goal is to elevate the information for our private investors to a level which can be compared with the information professional investors receive. We will pursue our goal through continuous development, user surveys and communication with the users of the Exchange's website.
In this week we have produced two new services free of charge on our website - www.xcse.dk. News alerts and a Personal Ticker. We are going to send news alerts by e-mail when a company included in the personal portfolio has submitted a stock exchange announcement. News alerts are delayed by approximately 5 minutes and can be 'put' on all the securities that are included in ones portfolio.
In addition, we have a Personal Ticker, which can be initiated from the personal page. The special feature of the ticker is that it can display the user's portfolio, and that the user himself can include the securities he so wishes."
Commenting on the ongoing competition GUESS AT THE KFX Peter Belling says, "Last Monday we found the winner of the first round of GUESS AT THE KFX - a competition where you have to guess the value of the KFX index of a certain date. The competition runs for 3 months and is divided into three rounds. None of the participants of the first round were, however, able to predict the closing value of the KFX index on 14 December. The winner - who came closest first, and who was therefore the best - won the fine Bang & Olufsen TV to a value of DKK 32,000."
