Standard & Poor’s confirms the changes announced yesterday, 28 December 2006, following the merger between Banca Intesa and Sanpaolo-IMI, and notifies that the correct number of shares for Buzzi Unicem SpA is 164,730,937 and not 98,838,562 as previously stated.
Recap of all changes effective on the opening of the markets on 2 January 2007:- Buzzi Unicem, (Italy, ISIN IT0001347308) will replace SanPaolo-IMI (Italy, ISIN IT0001269361) in the S&P/MIB Index, following the merger of the latter into Banca Intesa. Buzzi Unicem number of shares outstanding is 164,730,937; the Investable Weight Factor is 0.457 and it will be added to the S&P/MIB GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) “Construction Materials” sub-industry.
- Banca Intesa (Italy, ISIN: IT0000072618, GICS: Financials), a member of the S&P/MIB Index, shares will increase to 11,849,117,744;
- Banca Intesa IWF will change to 0.789;
- Banca Intesa will adopt Intesa San Paolo SpA as its new corporate name.
