STOXX Ltd., the leading provider of European equity indexes, today announced changes in the Dow Jones STOXX Global Select Dividend 100 Index.
UST Inc. (United States, Personal & Household Goods, UST) will be deleted from the Dow Jones STOXX Global Select Dividend 100 Index and replaced by Southern Co. (United States, Utilities, SO). UST Inc. is being removed due to its pending acquisition by Altria Group, Inc. (United States, Personal & Household Goods, MO).
All changes will be effective as of the opening of trading on Monday, January 5, 2009.
