Component Changes Made To Dow Jones Sector Titans And Dow Jones Emerging Markets Sector Titans Indexes - Changes Are the Result of the Regular Annual Review

Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today announced results of the regular annual review of the Dow Jones Sector Titans and Dow Jones Emerging Markets Sector Titans Indexes. All changes will be effective after the close of trading on Friday, June 17, 2011.

Dow Jones Sector Titans Indexes

In the Dow Jones Automobiles & Parts Titans 30 Index, Mazda Motor Corp. (Japan, Automobiles & Parts, 7261.TO) will be replaced by General Motors Co. (United States, Automobiles & Parts, GM). 

In the Dow Jones Basic Resources Titans 30 Index, Kobe Steel Ltd. (Japan, Basic Resources, 5406.TO) and Sumitomo Metal Industries Ltd. (Japan, Basic Resources, 5405.TO) will be replaced by Norilsk Nickel Mining & Metallurgical Co. ADS (Russia, Basic Resources, GMKN.RS) and Grupo Mexico S.A.B. de C.V. Series B (Mexico, Basic Resources, GMEXICO.MX).

In the Dow Jones Construction & Materials Titans 30 Index, Foster Wheeler AG (United States, Construction & Materials, FWLT) will be replaced by KBR Inc. (United States, Construction & Materials, KBR).

In the Dow Jones Financial Services Titans 30 Index, AMP Ltd. (Australia, Financial Services, AMP.AU) will be replaced by Suncorp Group Ltd. (Australia, Financial Services, SUN.AU).

In the Dow Jones Industrial Goods & Services Titans 30 Index, Deutsche Post AG (Germany, Industrial Goods & Services, DPW.XE) will be replaced by Hitachi Ltd. (Japan, Industrial Goods & Services, 6501.TO). 

In the Dow Jones Insurance Titans 30 Index, Power Corp. of Canada (Canada, Insurance, POW.T) will be replaced by Ping An Insurance (Group) Co. of China Ltd. (Hong Kong, Insurance, 2318.HK).

In the Dow Jones Media Titans 30 Index, Discovery Communications Inc. Series A (United States, Media, DISCA) will be replaced by Liberty Media Corp. Liberty Starz Ser A United States, Media, LSTZA).

In the Dow Jones Retail Titans 30 Index, Gap Inc. (United States, Retail, GPS) will be replaced by PPR S.A. (France, Retail, PP.FR).

In the Dow Jones Technology Titans 30 Index, Ricoh Co. Ltd. (Japan, Technology, 7752.TO) and MediaTek Inc. (Taiwan, Technology, 2454.TW) will be replaced by Tencent Holdings Ltd. (Hong Kong, Technology, 0700.KK) and ASML Holding N.V. (Netherlands, Technology, ASML.AE).

In the Dow Jones Travel & Leisure Titans 30 Index, Tobu Railway Co. Ltd. (Japan, Travel & Leisure, 9001.TO) and TABCorp Holdings Ltd. (Australia, Travel & Leisure, TAH.AU) will be replaced by Genting Bhd (Malaysia, Travel & Leisure, 3182.KU) and United Continental Holdings Inc. (United States, Travel & Leisure, UAL).

In the Dow Jones Utilities Titans 30 Index, Tohoku Electric Power Co. Inc. (Japan, Utilities, 9506.TO) and Korea Electric Power Corp. (South Korea, Utilities, 015760.SE) will be replaced by CLP Holdings Ltd. (Hong Kong, Utilities, 0002.HK) and Spectra Energy Corp. (United States, Utilities, SE).

The free-float market capitalization in USD of the reconstituted Dow Jones Sector Titans Indexes, as of June 1, 2011.

Dow Jones Automobiles & Parts Titans 30 Index increased to $683.5 billion from $663.3 billion.

Dow Jones Basic Resources Titans 30 Index increased to $1.044 trillion from $1.012 trillion.

Dow Jones Construction & Materials Titans 30 Index decreased to $316.1 billion from $316.3 billion.

Dow Jones Financial Services Titans 30 Index increased to $615.5 billion from $603.4 billion.

Dow Jones Industrial Goods & Services Titans 30 Index increased to $1.351 trillion from $1.314 trillion.

Dow Jones Insurance Titans 30 Index increased to $799.4 billion from $778.6 billion.

Dow Jones Media Titans 30 Index increased to $549.8 billion from $537.9 billion.

Dow Jones Retail Titans 30 Index increased to $904.4 billion from $886.1 billion.

Dow Jones Technology Titans 30 Index increased to $2.078 trillion from $2.034 trillion.

Dow Jones Travel & Leisure Titans 30 Index increased to $393.2 billion from $390.2 billion.

Dow Jones Utilities Titans 30 Index increased to $676.5 billion from $645.0 billion. 

No changes are being made to the Dow Jones Banks Titans 30, Dow Jones Chemicals Titans 30, Dow Jones Food & Beverage Titans 30, Dow Jones Health Care Titans 30, Dow Jones Oil & Gas Titans 30, Dow Jones Personal & Household Goods Titans 30, Dow Jones Real Estate Titans 30 Indexes and Dow Jones Telecommunications Titans 30 Indexes as a result of this regular annual review.

The Dow Jones Sector Titans Indexes measures the stock performance of the largest 30 companies in each of the 19 Supersectors defined by the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB). Stocks are selected to the index based on rankings by float-adjusted market capitalization, revenue and net income.

Dow Jones Emerging Markets Sector Titans Indexes

Brazilian components for the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Indexes will be selected if they have an American Depository Receipt (ADR) listing on a major United States Stock Exchange. 

In the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Sector Titans Composite 100 Index, the following 12 components will switch from their local listings on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange to their corresponding ADRs, which trade on the New York Stock Exchange: Vale S.A. ADS (Brazil, Basic Materials, VALE) Petroleo Brasileiro S/A ADS  (Brazil, Oil and Gas, PBR), Companhia Siderurgica Nacional ADS (Brazil, Basic Materials, SID), Gerdau S.A. In the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Metals & Mining Titans 30 Index, the following three components will switch from their local listings on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange to their corresponding ADRs, which trade on the New York Stock Exchange: Vale S.A. ADS (Brazil, Basic Materials, VALE), Companhia Siderurgica Nacional ADS (Brazil, Basic Materials, SID) and Gerdau S.A. ADS (Brazil, Basic Materials, GGB).

Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais S/A Pref A (Brazil, Basic Materials, USIM5.BR), Metalurgica Gerdau S/A Pref, (Brazil, Basic Resources, GOAU4.BR) and Angang Steel Co. Ltd. (China, Oil & Gas, Basic Materials, 0347.HK) and will be replaced by Coal India Ltd. (India, Oil & Basic Materials, 533278.BY), Kumba Iron Ore Ltd. (South Africa, Basic Materials, KIO.JO) and Evraz Group S.A. (Russia, Basic Materials, EVR.LN) as a result of this regular annual review.

In the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Consumer Titans 30 Index, the following three components will switch from their local listings on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange to their corresponding ADRs, which trade on the New York Stock Exchange: Companhia de Bebidas das Americas ADS (Brazil, Consumer Goods, ABV), BRF-Brazil Foods S/A ADS (Brazil, Consumer Goods, BRFS) and Companhia Brasileira de Distribuicao Grupo Pao de Acucar ADS (Brazil, Consumer Services, CBD).

In the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Financials Titans 30 Index, the following three components will switch from their local listings on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange to their corresponding ADRs, which trade on the New York Stock Exchange: Itau Unibanco Holding S/A ADS (Brazil, Financials, ITUB),

Banco Bradesco S/A ADS (Brazil, Financials, BBD) and Banco Santander Brazil S.A. ADS (Brazil, Financials, BSBR). 

Banco do Brasil S/A Ord (Brazil, Financials, BBAS3.BR), Itausa-Investimentos Itau S/A Pref (Brazil, Financials, ITSA4.BR), OTP Bank Nyrt. (Hungary, Financials, OPT.BU) and Remgro Ltd. (South Africa, Financials, REM.JO) will be replaced by Agricultural Bank of China Ltd. (China, Financials, 1288.HK), VTB Bank GDR (Russia, Financials, VTBR.L), China Overseas Land & Investment Ltd. (China, Financials, 0688.HK) and Bank Central Asia (China, Financials, BBCA.HK) as a result of this regular annual review).

In the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Oil & Gas Titans 30 Index, Petroleo Brasileiro S/A Pref (Brazil, Oil & Gas, PETR4.BR,) and Suzlon Energy Ltd. (India, Oil & Gas, 532667.BY) will be replaced by Petroleo Brasileiro S/A ADS (Brazil, Oil & Gas, PBR) and GAIL (India) Ltd. (India, Oil & Gas, 532155.BY) as a result of this regular annual review.

Dow Jones Emerging Markets Sector Titans Composite 100 Index increased to $1.535 trillion from 1.453 trillion.

Dow Jones Emerging Markets Consumer Titans 30 Index Index decreased to $242.9 billion from $244.3 billion.

Dow Jones Emerging Markets Metals & Mining Titans 30 Index decreased to $271.3 billion from $280.9 billion.

Dow Jones Emerging Markets Financials Titans 30 Index increased to $535.7 billion from

$528.3 billion.

Dow Jones Emerging Markets Oil & Gas Titans 30 Index decreased to $490.6 billion from

$492.9 billion.

No changes are being made to the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Technology Titans 30, Dow Jones Emerging Markets Telecommunications Titans 30, Dow Jones Emerging Markets Utilities Titans 30, Dow Jones Emerging Markets Basic Resources Titans 30, Dow Jones Emerging Markets Health Care Titans 30 Index, Dow Jones Emerging Markets Industrials Titans 30, Dow Jones Emerging Markets Consumer Goods Titans 30 and Dow Jones Emerging Markets Consumer Services Titans 30 Indexes as a result of this regular annual review.

The Dow Jones Emerging Markets Sector Titans Indexes measures the stock performance of the largest emerging-market companies in each of 10 Industries defined by the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB), plus metals & mining. Stocks are selected to the indexes based on size, revenue and net profit. The indexes are weighted by free-float market capitalization.
