Communicating Ltd, a UK-based technology company that provides full exchange technology solutions to the capital markets, has today announced the appointment of Michael McErlean as Director of Business Development. McErlean, who has more than 24 years of experience in listed derivatives management, will be based in Chicago and will be tasked with introducing established exchanges as well as new market entrants to the firm's Aquarius trade matching technology and the suite of software products that surrounds it.
McErlean, 47, joins Communicating Ltd from Eurex AG where he served in the role of Director of Sales and Marketing for the Eurex US futures exchange (now known as U.S. Futures Exchange). At Eurex US he was involved in the development of the exchange from the project planning stages, through to the CFTC application process, the exchange launch, liquidity programs and subsequent product introductions. Before that, he spent +20 years at Goldman Sachs & Co serving in a variety of senior management roles in the GS Futures Services Department in Chicago, Singapore, Tokyo and London.
