CMS WebView Releases Version 3 Of Its Transactional Data Interface (TDI) Product

Date 05/02/2003

Having completed the successful installation and operation of its TDI™ middleware product at both the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the London Metal Exchange (LME), CMS WebView (CMS) is releasing version 3 of the product. The principal features of TDI™ include quote-feed distribution services and Internet display functionality together with interfaces to third party trading system APIs. TDI™ version 3 contains further enhancements and additional beneficial features for providing solutions to market data management applications.

Whilst traditionally marketed to Exchanges, as solutions to both their vendor feed and Internet distribution business, the TDI™ product is also being actively promoted to quote vendors and other organisations requiring both quality and cost effective solutions to their data distribution and administration requirements. Such companies are familiar with the ever-increasing development and support costs involved in handling real time data and its subsequent distribution to clients.

Taking advantage of CMS WebView plc's 20 years of experience in operating and supplying transactional data feed solutions the overall features and benefits of TDI include:

  • Proven technology (currently in production at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, London Metal Exchange and forms the backbone of CMS' internal ticker plant that provides data to in excess of 50 organisations).
  • Cost-effective solutions based on a low priced Windows NT platform.
  • Sold on a licensed basis with the option for either operational hosting support or a standalone basis.
  • Range of interfaces to the worlds leading electronic exchange systems.
  • Industry standard distribution methods and protocols.
  • Proven capability in high volume transactional environments
  • Built-in resilience, redundancy and load balancing capabilities.
  • Scalability both in terms of hardware and software module deployment.
  • Range of operational and database tools including Web-based administration and support.
Lee Playford, CMS' Software Development Director, commented " The ever changing nature of our markets, both technically and business wise, together with the needs of clients to reduce costs, has driven the further enhancements to TDI™. Added features in version 3 include remote site connections via the Internet and further improvements to the proven resilience of the system"

Bob Antell, CMS' CEO, said " Whilst we are pleased that major exchanges have utilised TDI™ it is also encouraging to see increased interest from the quote vendor community and other generic data management companies alike"
