E-mini™ S&P 500 futures volume surpassed the 600,000 mark for the first time yesterday, with 615,323 contracts. This record was nearly 7 percent higher than the previous record of 574,494 contracts, also set on June 4.
E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures also posted the busiest trading day since their 1999 launch yesterday, with 330,127 contracts traded. The previous record of 313,639 contracts was set on May 15.
