CME Group's Duffy To Appear Before U.S. Senate Committee On Agriculture

CME Group Executive Chairman and President Terry Duffy will appear before the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry today, Wednesday, August 1, to discuss "Examining the Futures Markets: Responding to the Failures of MF Global and Peregrine Financial Group."

"We are committed to restoring confidence in the markets that so many rely on for their risk management needs," said Duffy. "We continue to work with Congress, CFTC, NFA, FIA and market participants to re-evaluate the current system and to find solutions to safeguard customer funds against fraud and misuse."

The hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Eastern time in the Senate Russell Office Building. Duffy's written testimony will also be available on www.cmegroup.com at that time.
