CME Group To Close U.S. Equity Index Futures And Options On Futures Monday In Coordination With The U.S. Equities Markets

CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, issued the following notice today.

As a result of the securities industry decision to close U.S. equities markets tomorrow because of Hurricane Sandy, CME Group will be closing its U.S. equity index futures and equity index options on futures markets on the trading floor and on CME Globex at 8:15 a.m., Central Time, tomorrow Monday, Oct. 29. These markets opened at 5:00 p.m. CT today and will remain open until 8:15 a.m. CT tomorrow.

All other CME Group futures and options on futures markets will remain open. We will continue to monitor the situation as well as continue our coordination with other exchanges and will keep you updated as information becomes available.
