CME Group Receives Commodity Business Award For Commodity Exchange Of The Year

CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced that it has been honoured with the Commodity Business Award for Commodity Exchange of the Year, 2013.

Companies from throughout the commodity complex were invited to nominate themselves or others in any one of the 20 categories of excellence for this year. The nominations were adjudicated by Commodities Now magazine and numerous market specialists.

The Commodity Exchange of the Year award recognises CME Group's achievements in the last year in the commodity business. It highlights the work CME Group has done around its ferrous metals Virtual Steel Mill suite of contracts, Short-Dated New Crop Options in the grain markets, and the work CME Group has done providing innovative hedging solutions for all its commodities markets, including energy, agriculture and metals.

The award was received on Wednesday at a reception and dinner at The Savoy in London.
