CME Group Hits Daily FX Trading Volume Record - FX Notional Value Reaches All-Time High

CME Group, the world’s leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, experienced record trading volumes and notional values for FX products on Wednesday, April 28, 2010. 

Trading volume for FX products reached 1,476,662 contracts with a notional value of $193.3 billion, surpassing the previous volume record of 1,396,035 and notional record of $184.9 billion set on Dec 4, 2009. Euro FX futures and options combined experienced record volume of 694,369 contracts with a notional value of $114.5 billion, beating the previous mark of 594,648 in volume and $98.2 billion in notional set the day before on April 27, 2010.
