Pieper, 39, will be responsible for managing financial reporting for CME, CME Holdings and various affiliates in accordance with federal requirements and established policies. He will also be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the company’s internal controls. He reports to Nancy W. Goble, Managing Director & Chief Accounting Officer.
Pieper previously served as Associate Director & Assistant Controller. Before joining CME in 2004, he worked for Divine, Inc. as Director of Worldwide Accounting. His background also includes public accounting experience with KPMG LLP.
Pieper received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University and a MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
