Closure Of Bursa Malaysia In Conjunction With Hari Raya Aidil Fitri And National Day Holidays

*Bursa Malaysia closed for trading half day Monday, 29 August 2011 afternoon, and all day Tuesday, 30 August 2011 (if Hari Raya falls on Wednesday, 31 August 2011).

Bursa Malaysia would like to announce its trading and office closure in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri and National Day holidays.

1.     HALF-DAY MORNING TRADING SESSION ON MONDAY, 29 AUGUST 2011
Trading on both Bursa Malaysia Securities and Bursa Malaysia Derivatives will be opened for the morning session only. There will be no trading in the afternoon session. However, all the offices of Bursa Malaysia, including its clearing, settlement and depository services, will remain open as normal until the end of business day. The timing of the trading phases is as follows:

2.    HARI RAYA AIDIL FITRI ON TUESDAY, 30 AUGUST 2011
If Hari Raya Aidil Fitri falls on Tuesday, 30 August 2011, all the offices of Bursa Malaysia will be closed from Tuesday, 30 August 2011 to Thursday, 1 September 2011.  The Exchange closure also takes into consideration the National Day holiday on 31 August 2011. The offices of Bursa Malaysia will resume business on Friday, 2 September 2011.


3.    HARI RAYA AIDIL FITRI ON WEDNESDAY, 31 AUGUST 2011
If Hari Raya Aidil Fitri falls on Wednesday, 31 August 2011, trading and clearing, settlement and depository services on both Bursa Malaysia Securities and Bursa Malaysia Derivatives will be closed on Tuesday, 30 August 2011. However, all the offices of Bursa Malaysia will remain open as normal until the end of business day of Tuesday, 30 August 2011. Subsequent to that, the offices of Bursa Malaysia will be closed from Wednesday, 31 August 2011 to Friday, 2 September 2011. The Exchange closure also takes into consideration the National Day holiday on 31 August 2011. The offices of Bursa Malaysia will resume business on Monday, 5 September 2011.
