CHX Announces Extended Trading Hours

The CHX announced today that beginning Monday, September 28, 2009 it would extend its trading hours with the addition of two new trading sessions. An early session will run from 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM Central Time (CT) and a late session will run from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM CT. The current “Late Trading Session” has been renamed the “Late Crossing Session” and operates in its current manner from 3:15 PM to 4:00 PM CT.

The new Early Session and Late Trading Session will function in substantially the same manner as trading during the Regular Trading Session, with certain exceptions. Such as:

Any orders in the CHX matching engine will carry over from the Early Session to the Regular Session to the Late Trading Session unless the customer designates otherwise.

The Exchange will not accept Market IOC orders in either the Early or Late Trading Session

Trade through, locked market and crossed market prohibitions do not apply to trade and quote activity in either session.
